Julie Staley, Director of Youth Programs for Greenwood Athletic and Tennis Club is BUSY and everything she does revolves around helping families stay healthy. Recently, she installed an indoor play area for her youngest members.
Through her youth programs, Julie runs a daycare, summer camps, after-school camps, drop-in activities, arts and crafts, an “Exercade” with interactive fitness video games… the list goes on. All of these fun, healthy activities for kids help parents get a guilt-free workout. Viola! The whole family stays healthy and fit.
In June, Julie watched as PLAYTIME installed new soft-foam play area equipment in the Greenwood Athletic Club daycare center. The previous play equipment included a multi-level, hard plastic maze that kids crawled through.
“It was very hard to clean and it was hard to see the kids all the time,” says Staley.
Working with PLAYTIME, Staley says she “tried to select the pieces with the most play value” and she reports that both kids and parents alike love the new play elements. She even says that it has helped to recruit new members to the athletic facility.
